He directed the Permanent Secretary of the Special Projects Bureau to relocate to Ndoni District to ensure the progress of work and the completion of the shore protection works within the scheduled time
The governor directed that the contractor should conclude the soil test in the area by the end of December 2017, so that construction work can start by January 2018.
He said: "When your father starts a project, it behoves you to complete the project. We shall drive the shore protection works to completion.
"All the remaining communities mentioned by the Caretaker Committee Chairman of ONELGA will be added to this project. I don't want excuses because we have the money on ground to complete the project ".

"If you see the five communities, you will pity them. This project will change their fortune. I have directed the contractor to also employ youths from the communities".
He charged community youths to support the contractor, adding that they should not make crippling monetary demands from the contractor.
In his remarks, Former Rivers State Governor, Dr Peter Odili said since he left office over 10years ago , his only regret has been his failure to execute the shore protection works for his people.
He said the execution of shore protection works was one of the major campaign promises of Governor Wike.
Odili said: "When history is being made, the makers of history don't know. You have wiped out a ten-year old tear from my face.
"Everyday since I left office ten years ago, I remember that one of the things I failed to do was to protect the shores of this area. We shall continue to support the Rivers State Governor to make Rivers State the first among equals".
