Politics in Nigeria is about an opposition party criticising the Majority party and, the Governor or President orders for their arrest, or EFFC goes after the opponents; all institutions of Government, even government media houses will only report stories in favour of majority party.
A Party in power commits blunder and all their members go on air to defend it, The Governor/President sponsor's a protest in favour of their failed agenda; a notorious criminal who killed for a party is arrested, the Governor/President summons the CP or IGP to release him under presidential pardon or amnesty. A government refuses to pay salary for months, they give labour leaders brown envelopes to avert strike & other workers languish in penury.
In Nigerian politics, when a party is majority in the Assembly every bill from the President or governor must pass, every case in judiciary must be won by Government in power, every union must pledge loyalty to the Government or risk being humiliated or disbanded.
In Nigerian politics, projects are given to communities where favourite cabinet members come from and other critical areas are abandoned.
Politics here in Nigeria means applauding a government even when the populace are dying in hunger.
POLITICS HERE MEANS DECLINE IN POSITIVITY & INCREASE IN NEGATIVITY.
Are we better of in military rule? What does Nigeria politics mean to you, compared to other Democratic nation?
