One Samaila Garuba Alhaji, alias Bakassi (pictured left) has been arrested for supplying an AK-47 rifles to one herdsman, Ibrahim Adamu, who was earlier arrested.
The Enugu State Police. command’s spokesman, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, in a statement yesterday, said the suspect was apprehended through intelligence supplied to police operatives in 9th Mile Police Division, near Enugu.
According to him, “the suspect, who gave his name as Samaila Garuba Alhaji, alias Bakassi, was earlier implicated by Ibrahim Adamu as the one that sold the AK-47 rifle to him. But Alhaji escaped when he got the information about Adamu’s arrest.
It was gathered that luck, however, ran out of Bakassi, when he was trailed to a motor park situated at 9th Mile in Enugu early this morning (yesterday), where he was nabbed.”
