STRIKING ASUU MEMBERS WANT THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION SACKED

Striking Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to sack the minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu.

The union said the minister is insensitive and lacks commitment to reversing the dwindling Nigerian education sector. Making the call via a press statement the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, Chairperson of the union, Dr Ndamisa Mohammed Attaahiru said the ongoing strike wouldn’t have been necessary if the minister has been alive to his responsibility. ASUU added that Mr Adamu failed to engage with the union on its repeated demands and correspondences.
