Friday, November 4, news of the death of Nigeria’s most gallant officer Mohammed Abu Ali filled the media. Following the news of his death eulogies also filled the media from across Nigeria and the globe.

However, the Nigerian army in a statement released by the army spokesperson Sani Usman said Ali, a Lieutenant Colonel died alongside six other soldiers in an ambush laid for the troops by the terrorists.

Below is a list containing the names of all the soldiers killed in the operation:

Ali and his colleagues, the military said, will be buried on Monday, November 7, at the National Cemetery in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city by 5 pm.

They were all killed in an ambush laid on troops of the Nigerian army by members of Boko Haram on Friday.

Meanwhile some Nigerians have called on President Muhammadu Buhari to make efforts towards visiting the soldiers fighting in the North East.

These Nigerians believe that President Buhari’s visit could help boost the morale of the troops fighting the insurgents that have been terrorizing the North eastern part of Nigeria since 2009.
