Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has dissolved the caretaker committees of Degema, Khana and Gokana Local Government Areas.
According to Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, the dissolution of the three councils was due to the expiration of their tenures.
The governor also directed the affected Caretaker Committee Chairmen to hand over to the most senior civil servants in their respective local government councils.
Let's not forget that when the three caretaker committees were appointed, the extant law allowed for a three-month tenure.
