
Nigerian rapper and actor Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, is headed to the hit popular TV series "Tinsel."
The talented rapper who has successfully carved a niche in the entertainment industry is joining "Tinsel" as Kayode Beko-Williams, a young socialite with a heart of gold.
From Tuesday, October 11, 2016, the rapper will play the character who has been described as a love interest for Telema. He comes into Telema’s life at a time when she yearns for such a person.
Falz, who won the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award best actor in a comedy for his role as Segun in "Jenifa's Diary," beat IK Ogbonna, Kelechi Udegbe, Ime Bishop Umoh, Bowoto Jephthah to win the award.
Falz made his acting debut in the movie "A Couple of Days," which stars him alongside Adesua Etomi, Lilian Esoro, Kiki Omeili, Enyinna Nwigwe among others.
"Tinsel" is a Nigerian soap opera that began airing in August 2008. It is produced by M-Net/Africa Magic.
The soap series airs every weekday 7:30pm Nigerian Time on Africa Magic Showcase, DStv Channel 151.
