Arsene Wenger snubbed call to manage man-United

Manchester United reportedly wanted Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to replace Sir Alex Ferguson, according to the Daily Star.

The former United boss first considered retirement back in 2002 and the Red Devils approached Wenger, but the Frenchman reportedly rebuffed their advances.

Wenger, who recently opened the door to one day taking charge of England, has previously revealed he turned down three offers from Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
