A few seconds later it explodes, killing four people. CCTV footage reveals Masons face and the French police tag him as a terrorist threat. PROS AND CONS:

I was excited for this film because I really like idris Elba and in the end this film is alright. The premise of the film sees a cia agent and a master pick pocket have to team up to try and stop a terrorist plot in Paris.
Idris elba plays the main protagonist and he is really good in the film, he is grizzly and tough but he also has a sense of humour to him. I do believe this was a pretty good james bond audition tape for him. Richard madden plays the pick pocket and I really liked him too, his chemistry with elba is really good and there funny banter works. His smaller physique also allowed for the contrast to work. However, everybody else in the film was a waste, especially the villains who had absolutely no character or personality to them and were there just to be bad guys. The story has some nice social commentary to it which I had very little idea about and some of the twists were interesting. But you have seen it all before I promise you, seen an action movie then the plot of this film comes across as paper thin. The script has some fun witty banter in it between characters but it lacks in it's dramatic impact. It also is very cliché just like its plot. The style is a mixed bag, for every great shootout or chase scene there's a shaky cam close quarters fight. I liked some of the action in this film but some of it just came across as flat. Overall I think this is a decent movie that if you like action films you should see.
