Abia State governor, Chief T.A Orji stormed the INEC office in Umuahia to disrupt the announcement of the Gubernatorial results from Local Government Areas.
The Governor in company of the Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe and PDP National publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh led protests by PDP supporters when results from some Local Governments were cancelled due to widespread irregularities and violence.
INEC initially announced that results from Osisioma Ngwa, Obingwa, Ugwunagbo and Isiala Ngwa North has been cancelled.
Reports say the Governor is putting pressure on the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof. Selina Oko to announce the cancelled results.
Professor Benjamin Ozurumba a returning reversed the cancellations after meeting with the governor.

Bende LGA = APC – 713, APGA – 14263, PDP – 5168
Ukwa West = APC – 653, APGA – 4890, PDP – 9154
Arochukwu LGA = APC – 284, APGA – 11383, PDP – 3032
Ukwa East LGA = APC – 438, APGA – 3851, PDP – 4261
Isiala Ngwa South LGA = APC – 219, APGA – 5686, PDP – 7133
Umunneochi LGA = APC – 298, APGA – 7349, PDP – 4324
